Biography
Prof. Laila Marouf is the Assistant Vice President Research for External collaboration and consultation at Kuwait University and heads the Patents Office at KU. She is a Professor in information studies and holds a Ph.D. in Information Science from University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with a focus in Knowledge Management. She earned her B.Sc. in Computer Science and Mathematical Statistics from Kuwait University, and received many awards including the Best Young Researcher award in 2010/2011. Prof. Laila has published more than 35 articles in the areas of knowledge and Information management, Knowledge sharing and Information Behavior.
